Riding Ability
Cape York Motorcycle Adventures has been operating for 18 years. Tour guide, Roy Kunda knows every trail in the region and has taken riders of all ability from backpacker novices to world motorcycle champions.
The rides are matched to suit the ability of riders. Provided you have at least a learner’s license and some experience riding motorcycles, you will be fine. Riding in a group with the comfort of a support vehicle means every contingency from flat tyre to drowned bike will be looked after.
Conditions range from jungle trails and creek crossings, to open plain and beach runs.
Almost every type of off-road condition will be encountered!
Conditions
All riders must comply with Cape York Motorcycle Adventures rules and regulations, sign an indemnity form and be licensed for a motorcycle.
The tour operates in remote areas and the operator reserves the right to alter the itinerary due to road, weather, operational or safety considerations.
The operator is not responsible or liable for any loss of damage of personal belongings or for personal injury, accident or illness, however caused. Cape York Motorcycle Adventures can help you arrange travel insurance via QBE if required. Tours may be cancelled due to weather conditions.
Payment
A 10% non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking. Full payment for the tour is required 30 days prior to departure.
Cancellation Policy
I acknowledge that I am requested to lodge a security deposit of $1600 or $2600 for BMW motorcycles to cover any damage to the Motorcycle that will be ridden by me. I also acknowledge that I will be liable to pay for any damage to this motorcycle caused by me up to this amount.
A 10% deposit is required to confirm your booking. Final payment is required 30 days prior to your departure date.
Canceling after booking confirmation, but prior to your final payment, your 10% deposit is non-refundable.
If canceling after final payment has been received:
- More than 21 days prior to departure date - 75% is refunded.
- Between 21 and 14 days prior to departure date - 50% is refunded.
- Between 14 and 7 days prior to departure date - 25% is refunded.
- Less than 7 days prior to departure date - No refund.
Safety
Our guides are trained in first aid and carry a hand held satellite telephone. In addition our support vehicle is equipped with a Royal Flying Doctor medicine chest for any emergency. You will be briefed on conditions daily and supplied with a detailed safety manual.
